The Sovereign Center is located in Reading, Pennsylvania, and was built in 2001. It was built on the grounds of one of the former movie and theater palaces from the early twentieth century known as the Astro Theatre. During the demolition of the Astro Theatre, steps were taken to preserve some items such as the gates and the chandelier that are now on display inside the center. This was done to allow a look back in time to see the ambiance of the former theatre.

The center is owned by the Berks County Convention Center Authority and under management of SMG. The Raja Shrine Theater was purchased and renovated extensively and was renamed the Sovereign Performing Arts Center. The Reading Eagle Theater is also an extended part of the complex.

There are many extended branches to the center that allow for basketball games, ice hockey games, ice skating venues, poetry readings, concerts, and many other venues. The main arena contains 701 club seats and 20 luxurious suites for the guests. It also offer 25,200 square feet of space for a banquet on the arena floor. Along with large functions, the center can accommodate to smaller events as well using the Reading Eagle Theater. There is also a multipurpose room located on the premises that measures 4,575 square feet and can accommodate for events of up to 200 guests.

Just a few events the Sovereign Center has hosted are Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie, Carrie Underwood, Elton John, multiple shows of Disney on Ice, Hockey games and many more.
