Come one, come all to Houston’s favorite performance venue! The Bayou Music Center has some of the best and most anticipated shows of the year. The Center itself opened in 1997 under another name, the Aerial Theatre, and houses upwards of 2,700 people at max capacity. Not every event is maxed out, but the way the Center was design allows for its patrons to feel like a part of the performance.

Coming up in August is the Houston International Jazz Festival, a highly anticipated meeting of some of the best talents in Jazz. Next, strap on your skates and helmet for your own Houston Roller Derby girls. These derby dames have two more bouts before the end of the year, both in the BMC. In mid September get ready to jump out of your seat and sing with children’s favorite The Wiggles. Nearing the end of September brings the arrival the popular group One Republic along with Sara Bareillis in a combined concert.

The beginning of October heralds the rise of a Motown favorite, Earth Wind and Fire, followed by the operatic Sarah Brightman of Phantom of the Opera fame. She will be performing her new world tour show Dreamchaser. Next is a tribute band for the legendary Beatles called The Fab Four.

Near the end of the year are visitors from across the pond, the Irish rock band Two Door Cinema Club, and also the acclaimed Irish singing group Celtic Thunder. If you would like to know more about what is playing inquire into getting your Bayou Music Center tickets today.
