The House of Blues San Diego is one of 13 concert halls that is located in the heart of the entertainment district. The founder, Isaac Tigrett had a vision due to his love of blues music. The first concert hall opened in 1992 in Cambridge and it grew rather quickly as the best venue for blues, jazz, and even some rock & roll.

The House of Blues San Diego opened in 2005 on fifth street. It features the Bead Wall, which is one complete wall that has nothing but beads from New Orleans Mardi Gras. The venue carries on the original mission by the founder to have a venue with diversity of various cultures and create a music sensation for Southern and African American art and music.

The House of Blues has many concerts throughout the year as well as special events and private parties. In addition, at the San Diego location, you'll find awesome dining with a master chef creating contemporary and classic dishes. Dining and a concert is a great way to spend an evening with someone special or as a group. The reviews for the restaurant have been very favorable among guests.

Tickets to concerts and other special events can be found on the website. Since many of the musical groups are well known, tickets often sell out fast or is standing room only. If you look at their calendar and see a concert you wish to attend, buy your tickets as far in advance as you can.
