Drive 35 miles west of Washington, DC on Interstate 66 and you are in Prince William County, Virginia. Find Bristow, Virginia and you'll find signs directing you to Jiffy Lube Live, the largest outdoor venue in Northern Virginia and possibly in the entire DC metropolitan area.

The amphitheater was originally opened at the Cellar Door Pavilion in 1995 by Live Nation, consisting of Dave Williams and Jack Boyle, two successful owners of the legendary Cellar Door and The Bayou in Washington, DC. Before the Cellar Door Pavilion was actually opened, the name was changed to Nissan Pavilion.

The venue took on its current name, Jiffy Lube Live, in January 2010 and was soon dubbed "The Lube" by music fans in the area. The amphitheater seats 25,000 concert goers, with 10,000 reserved seats and 15,000 of lawn seating. The incredible sound system and two large screens make it a setting where "music lives and breathes" during the spring, summer and fall.

Since the amphitheater's opening, it has drawn some of the finest and best known bands and music acts in the world. Coldplay, Celine Dion, James Taylor, The Who, and Pink Floyd are among the luminaries that have performed there. Annual music events include Jimmy Buffett, Mayhem Festival, the Area2 Festival, and American Idol Live. President Barack Obama also held campaign rallies at "The Lube" in 2008 and 2012.

Tailgating before a concert was reinstated in January 2012 and is half the fun even though it is regulated by Virginia state law. Good music lives on at this incredible Northern Virginia venue. For more information and upcoming events, check us out online!
